The Jerome Nemer Lecture Series
The Jerome Nemer Lecture Series at USC was created in 1980 to explore the contributions of Jewish thinkers to Western intellectual life. It was originally established in memory of USC alumnus Jerry Nemer. It is made possible by the Jewish Community Foundation; the Swig Foundation; the Buchalter, Nemer, Field and Younger Charitable Foundation; and the many friends of Jerry Nemer. In 1998 the Nemer Lecture came under the auspices of USC's Casden Institute for the Study of the Jewish Role in American Life.
The Carmen and Louis Warschaw Distinguished Lecture Series
Launched in the spring of 1999, the Carmen and Louis Warschaw Distinguished Lecture Series was established by Carmen and Louis Warschaw to explore issues of Jews and politics. The Warschaws' commitment of time and resources has been key to forming the Institute, and as philanthropists and community leaders, they will have a lasting impact on Southern California and its political evolution.
The Burton Lewis Lecture Series
Established in memory of USC alumnus Burton Lewis, the Lewis Lecture focuses on the Jewish role in arts and culture - a topic of great interest and close to the heart of the late Mr. Lewis and his family.
The Dr. Harold I. Lee Lecture Series
Established in memory of USC alumnus Harold Lee by his son Henry, a USC alumnus, the Lee Lecture affords the Casden Institute an opportunity to bring interdisciplinary scholars, artists and others to present their work to USC faculty and students and to the larger Los Angeles community.
